Booking Terms and Conditions – Holiday Letting of Capel Cartref

Bookings are made and accepted only on the following conditions:-

Guests (holidaymakers)

  • The contract of letting is between the guests (holidaymakers) and the owners of Capel Cartref
  • All names of guests must be given to the proprietor (owner), prior to arrival
  • All ages of people under 18 years must be provided on the booking form
  • Please ensure all guests familiarise themselves with the Capel Cartref Information Folder upon their arrival.
  • Your booking is made on the basis that Capel Cartref (the property) is to be Occupied by holidaymakers for the holiday period which has been agreed by the proprietors and paid for by the guests (holidaymakers)
  • The holidaymakers acknowledge that the tenancy agreement is not an assured
  • Tenancy and that no statutory periodic tenancy will arise when it ends
  • Bookings cannot be accepted by persons under 18 years of age.  Group bookings Of single sex parties are agreed by arrangement.
  • No bookings are valid until written confirmation is provided by the proprietor
  • Guests shall keep the furniture, fittings, fixtures in or on the property in the same state of repair as at the commencement of their holiday and shall leave Capel Cartref in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found.  
  • Guests must report and pay to the owners the cost of any damage or breakages during their holiday occupancy.


Pets

  • Maximum of 2 well supervised dogs permitted by arrangement
  • Dogs to remain on ground floor level
  • No dogs are permitted on furniture or in bedrooms and MUST NOT BE LEFT Alone in Capel Cartref for long periods.  All damage caused by pets musts be reported to the proprietor and paid for by the owner of the pet/holidaymaker.


Arrival

Capel Cartref will be available from 3pm on your day of arrival.  If you are unlikely to arrive before 7pm, please inform the owners at your earliest convenience, in order that arrangements for key exchange can be made.  If you need to arrive before 3pm, we will endeavour to meet your request.

Departure

We require that guests vacate Capel Cartref by 10.30am on the morning of their departure and that they please leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.

Payment/Deposit

Capel Cartref requires a non-refundable deposit of 40% of the cost of your holiday to confirm and secure your booking.  The remaining balance is to be paid 30 days prior to your arrival.  For short breaks, payment must be paid in full.  Payments are by Electronic Transfer (details provided by email, upon request) or cheque, payable to Marnie Slade. We will send you confirmation by post or email.  Please complete the bookings form which will be sent to you by post along with your receipt.

Non-Availability of Capel Cartref as booked

We would only cancel your holiday if Capel Cartref is unavailable for reasons beyond our control.  In this unlikely circumstance, we would refund to you all monies paid for by you - our liability to you would not extend beyond this refund.

Cancellation and Insurance

Once you have booked your holiday, our agreement with you is a legal contract.  If you cannot attend the holiday and Capel Cartref cannot be re-let, you are liable to pay for the booking in full.  For this reason, we recommend you take out a cancellation insurance for your holiday.

The guests’ right to occupy Capel Cartref may be forfeited if:-
More people or pets than specified on the initial booking form and/or the number of people that Capel Cartref can accommodate attempt or succeed to take up occupancy.
Overnight guests are entertained without owners permission
Any activity is undertaken which may cause unreasonable damage/noise or disturbances

The owners of Capel Cartref (or their representative) shall be permitted access to the property at any reasonable time during the holiday occupancy.

Liability

We do not accept responsibility for injury to you or loss/damage to possessions unless caused by proven negligent act or omission by ourselves, contractor or agents whilst acting in course of their employment.  This includes loss or damage to vehicles and their contents and to the personal possessions you bring with you.

Complaints

Should you find any faults or have any complaints during your stay, please advise the owners immediately so that any appropriate action can be taken.  We want you to relax and enjoy your visit to Capel Cartref.
